Turmeric is an ancient spice which has been used mainly in cooking. But, it is the complete package to treat various diseases. Such as liver disorders, arthritis, muscle disorders, coughs, it also helps to purify the blood, soothe pain and inflammations.

This post will you teach you how to incorporate it in your diet:

For High cholesterol & Alzheimer’s disease

1. Take 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Boil it in 20-40 ml of water for 5-10 minutes

3. Cool it to room temperature.

4. Add 2 teaspoon of honey to it and mix well.

5. Drink 2 teaspoons of this mixture twice a day after any meal.

6. Continue this for 1-2 months for better results.

For Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid arthritis

1. Take 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of amla and nagarmotha to it.

3. Boil it in 20-40 ml of water for 5-10 minutes.

4. Cool it to room temperature.

5. Add 2 teaspoons of honey to it.

6. Drink 2 teaspoons of this mixture twice a day after any meal.

7. Continue this for 1-2 months for better results.

      For Depression

1. Take 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Add it to 1 glass of warm milk and mix well.

3. Drink it before going to bed.

4. Continue this for 1-2 months for better results.

        For Diabetes

1. Take 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Mix it in 100 ml of amla juice.

3. Drink it once a day 2 hours after taking food.

4. Continue this for 1-2 months for better results.

     For Irritable Bowel Syndrome

1. Take 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Add 1/4 teaspoon of amla powder.

3. Mix both in 100ml of lukewarm water.

4. Drink it twice a day after taking meals.

5. Continue this for 1-2 months for better results.

     For Stomach ulcers

1. Take 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of mulethi (liquorice) powder.

3. Mix both in 1 teaspoon of honey.

4. Take it on an empty stomach twice a day.

5. Continue this for at least 1-2 months for good results.

Turmeric can be incorporated in your diet as follows:

    Turmeric Juice

a. Take 3-4 teaspoons of Turmeric juice in a glass.

b. Make-up the volume to 1 glass with lukewarm water or milk.

c. Drink it twice a day.

    Turmeric Tea

a. Take 4 cups of water in a pan.

b. Add 2 teaspoons of grated Turmeric or 1 teaspoon of Turmeric powder to it.

c. Boil it on a low flame for 10 minutes.

d. Strain it and squeeze ½ lemon and 1 teaspoon of honey to it.

Turmeric serves different purposes; it also has some external benefits like:

     Treating Gum Inflammation

1. Take 2 teaspoons of mustard oil.

2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder and 1/2 teaspoons of rock salt to it.

3. Mix well and use this paste to massage the gums every morning and evening.

   Turmeric For Acne

1. Take 1 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

2. Mix it with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice or honey.

3. Add few drops of rose water to make a smooth paste.

4. Apply evenly to the face.

5. Keep it for 15 minutes.

6. Wash with plain, cool water and pat dry.

Few more ways to Apply Turmeric:

      Turmeric Essential oil

  • 1. Take 2-5 drops of Turmeric essential oil and mix with coconut oil.
  • 2. Apply it evenly all over the affected area of skin.
  • 3. Use it during the night time before going to bed.
  • 7. Repeat this for 2-3 times a week

     Turmeric Juice in Coconut oil

1. Take 1-2 teaspoon of Turmeric juice in coconut oil.

2. Apply on the scalp at bedtime.

3. Keep it overnight.

4. Wash with a mild shampoo in the morning.

5. Use this remedy 2-3 times in a week.

    For External use as Antiseptic:

Turmeric is a very good antiseptic and helps in healing irritations very fast.

For pains and small wounds, and even in acne, turmeric added in warm mustard oil works like magic for external applications.
